Illumination of the underbody, sills and false radiator grille — if you associate such modifications with street racers, then admire the factory version of the BMW «three-ruble» with illumination of «nostrils».
True, now the modification of the Iconic Edition is available only in the Indian market, but it is not the first and probably not the last.
The illuminated grille version is based on the local long wheelbase variant called the Gran Limousine. The BMW 3 Series Extended Sedan entered the Indian market in 2021 as an intermediate modification between the 3 and 5 Series. Its length is 4829 mm, the wheelbase is 2961 mm, that is, 110 mm more than that of a conventional «treshka». Such elongated models are also in demand in China.
In the Iconic Edition, which will be available in limited edition, LEDs are built into the false radiator grille. There are three colors for the body: white, carbon black and silver «cashmere», which are combined with cognac or black interior trim.
In the interior, attention is drawn to the exclusive «crystal» trim of the gear lever with an illuminated logo — similar to that used on the flagship «eight».
By default, the package includes comfortable seats for the driver and front passenger, upholstered in leather, and the rear seats have special head restraints, as well as three-zone climate control with active carbon filters, a panoramic roof, atmospheric interior lighting, a digital instrument panel with a diagonal of 12.3 inches , 10.25-inch multimedia touchscreen, Harman Kardon audio system with 16 speakers and wireless charging for smartphones.
The complex of driving assistants includes a car parker and a reversing assistance system, lane keeping and other electronic assistants.
The BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine Iconic Edition will be produced at the brand’s Chennai plant. By the way, before India, a model with an illuminated radiator grille was offered in Australia, only on the basis of a regular, not elongated sedan, with M-bumpers — the circulation was limited to 200 pieces. There is no doubt that among fans of the Bavarian brand in Russia, an unusual modification would also go well.
